Face coverings will be required to ride the Akron METRO RTA

Akron METRO Regional Transit Authority will require face coverings for service.

AKRON, Ohio — Beginning Wednesday, April 29, the Akron METRO Regional Transit Authority will require face coverings for service.

Face coverings, such as masks, will be mandatory for all METRO employees and for all passengers going forward.  The rule also applies to children ages two and up.

Per CDC guidelines, children under the age of two should not wear face coverings.

In a release they say, "No shirt, no shoes, no mask, no service."
