Lorain mayor opens grocery stores early to protect senior citizens from coronavirus

Mayor Jack Bradley made the announcements via Facebook on Monday afternoon.

CLEVELAND — Several stores in Lorain County will open early for several weeks in an effort to keep senior citizens safe.

Mayor Bradley kicked off the series of announcements on Facebook, telling his  3,000 followers that the Lorain Walmart will open Tuesday morning. 

In addition to the big retailer opening it's doors early on Tuesday, local businesses 'Apple's Market' and 'Fligner's Market' have also agreed to help out the city's elderly population. 

Apple's Market will open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 6 a.m. in the coming weeks, while Fligner's will open on Wednesday mornings at 6 a.m. on Wednesdays only.
