Second Avon Lake Police Officer tests postive for COVID-19

The officer, who is not a resident of the city of Avon Lake, is being quarantined at home.

AVON LAKE, Ohio — A second officer with the  Avon Lake Police Department has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). 

The City of Avon announced the diagnosis the patrol officer on Facebook Wednesday. 

The officer, who is not a resident of the city of Avon Lake, is being quarantined at home. 

The  city's count of confirmed cases remains at seven, according to Mayor Greg Zilka.
