CLEVELAND — In accordance with the state of Ohio's stay-at-home order, which begins on Monday evening, three area malls have announced that they will be temporarily suspending its operations.

Starting at 7 p.m. on Monday, SouthPark Mall in Strongsville, Great Northern Mall in North Olmsted, and Belden Village Mall in Canton will be temporarily suspended until April 6. The date coincides with the end of the state's stay-at-home-order.
"The health and well-being of our customers, tenants, employees, and communities remains our top priority," the malls' owner Starwood Retail said in a statement. "Our management teams will continue to work together and closely monitor this situation, adhere to national guidelines, and partner with local health officials to make decisions that are in the best interest of our communities."
Officials emphasize that restaurants or other service retailers may be open at various hours to provide essential services to the community.
The move by Starwood Retail to close its malls comes after Summit Mall, Chapel Hill Mall, and Aurora Farms Premium Outlets closed their doors last week in response to COVID-19.
