CLEVELAND — Editor's note: the video in the player above is from a story published on December 4, 2020, regarding COVID-19 test-positivity ratings within Cuyahoga County.
According to the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA), 16 of its employees have tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the past week.
The RTA's most recent positive tests include:
- Three operators and one mechanic from the Hayden District
- Three schedulers, two reservationists and one administrator from Paratransit
- Four administrators from the Main Office Building,
- One officer from Transit Police,
- One material handler From the Rail District,
- Three operators and one mechanic from the Hayden District
As a part of RTA's standard protocol, work areas, equipment and other areas of potential exposure have been cleaned and disinfected. Any staff members who had been in contact with employees who tested positive were notified immediately, according to RTA.
To date, 94 RTA employees have tested positive for COVID-19, with 55 having fully recovered and returned to work.
