RTA reports two more employees test positive for COVID-19

RTA says the total number of employees infected is 23. 12 have made full recoveries and returned to work.

CLEVELAND — The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) has announced that an additional two staff members have tested positive for COVID-19. 

One infected employee is a member of the Rail District's Power and Way section. That staff member's last day worked was on Monday, June 29.

The other case is an operator working out of the Hayden district. That employee called off mid-shift on July 1. 

Per the RTA's standard protocol, all equipment and areas of potential exposure were disinfected and cleaned. Staff members who may have been exposed or been in contact with the infected employees have been notified.

This brings the RTA's total number of employees infected so far to 23. 12 of those staff members have made full recoveries and returned to work.
