Cleveland Clinic, as one of the state's major health systems, is doing it's part to ensure as many people are vaccinated as possible amid the ongoing pandemic.

On Thursday, the hospital system announced that it would be opening a new vaccination site at Lutheran Hospital in Ohio City. Beginning Tuesday, May 4 vaccinations will be available only on Tuesdays by appointment only.

"A key focus of Cleveland Clinic’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution process includes ensuring that those who are at higher risk of infection and death from the virus – including Black, Hispanic and underserved communities – have access to the vaccine," the hospital stated in a press release.

Under guidance from the Ohio Department of Health, the vaccine is available to anyone over the age of 16. Cleveland Clinic patients can schedule an appointment using MyChart and outside patients can schedule by calling the vaccine hotline at 216-448-4117.

The Pfizer vaccine is being administered at all Cleveland Clinic vaccine locations. For more information about scheduling a COVID-19 vaccine appointment, visit our website.
