CLEVELAND — We've all heard it plenty of times. If you're sick, stay home. Don't spread those germs at work.

Our own Hollie Strano is following that advice as she battles a head cold.

"I feel fine. Obviously, I sound very congested. A good old-fashioned head cold is what I have. It’s all upper. Not to be gross, but I’ve been blowing my nose nonstop."

She said her decision to stay home is an important thing all of us should do when falling ill -- even if your symptoms aren't all that bad.

"I feel good, and so my struggle was that I feel OK. I don’t have a fever. I don’t have a cough. I’m not achy. I’m just miserable because I’m stuffed up. It’s always worse in the middle of the night. I think that with everything going on and all the advice that we’ve been given – and you were all so kind yesterday – I thought, ‘What the heck am I doing? Practice what you preach, right?’ We’re all being told if you don’t feel well at all to stay home right now, and I think it’s just the best thing to do. Even just having a run-of-the-mill head cold, I wouldn’t want to bring those germs to work and bring, potentially, someone’s immune system down a little bit with just even a head cold in the climate we’re in with everything going on."

She even joked that working from home doing “pajama news” is a bucket list moment for her.

Feel better soon, Hollie! We miss you!
