Kitchen gadgets that can help you keep your New Year's resolutions

Senior Health Correspondent Monica Robins put some of the hottest devices to the test to help you eat healthier

How are your New Year's resolutions going?

If eating healthier was on your list, you're not alone.

There are tons of new kitchen gadgets hitting shelves that make eating healthy look easy.

We put a few of these gadgets to the test with some recipes to see what worked quickly, yet still tasted great.

1. First up, we made chicken and rice in the Mealthy Multi Pot.

The verdict? Tender, juicy and flavorful, and very user friendly. Cleanup was a breeze since everything was made in one pot.

You can see our chicken and rice recipe by clicking here.

2. Next, we popped some salmon, brussel sprouts and peppers into the Power Air Fryer. This was particularly easy to use - just add oil and spices to taste and you're ready to go.

The verdict? This was a big hit - very easy to use, and everything was flavorful yet healthy tasting.

There's no recipe needed here! Just lightly coat in olive oil and you're ready to go.

3. Next, we wanted to test out the latest addition to the Vitamix family, the Aer Disc container - which promises to whip, emulsify, muddle and foam. We blended up their citrus juice recipe, and all enjoyed a delicious, foamy juice that would be perfect for cocktails or to mix with sparkling water.

4. Finally, we tried a "guilt-free" chocolate cake in the Instant Pot.

The verdict? Needed to be a little sweeter - next time we'd try it with milk chocolate.
