Surprising a nurse at Southwest General Health Center for National Nurses Week

Katrina Trzebuckowski is described as a strong nursing advocate who works hard every day.

MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, Ohio — We had a special surprise for Katrina Trzebuckowski, a nursing supervisor with the Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights.

To say thanks for all of her work, 3News’ Carmen Blackwell stopped by early Monday morning to surprise Trzebuckowski with a $500 gift card to Dunkin.

“Oh my gosh!" she said after getting the surprise. "Thank you! I'll be sharing coffee in the hospital, so thank you very much."

Trzebuckowski has been with Southwest General since 2008, and has worked as a nursing supervisor for more than 15 years. On the night shift, Trzebuckowski oversees the managing of patient placement, staffing issues, patient and family complaints, attends emergency calls and so much more.

We were told that Trzebuckowski is pivotal in helping staff navigate difficult staffing situations and assists in finding the most appropriate approach to safe patient care. She’s described as a strong nursing advocate who works hard every day.

Thank you for everything!
