MEDINA -- A Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital employee has been placed on administrative leave after a staff member found a hidden camera inside a bathroom.
Police Chief Ed Kinney confirmed with Channel 3 News that the hidden camera was found on April 14 inside a gender-neutral bathroom in a staff-only zone.
The hospital released a statement Tuesday evening:
“We put an employee on administrative leave after a camera was found in a staff-only area. Employees in that area were notified, and we are fully supporting the Medina Police Department in its investigation.”
According to Kinney, video was stored within the recording device, not transmitted to a computer or server.
Kinney also said charges have not been filed yet.
