WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, Ohio -- A 16-year-old boy is back in custody after escaping from the Cuyahoga Hills Juvenile Correctional Facility in Highland Hills.
Authorities say Chase Newman was captured shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday on Miles Avenue approximately five miles from where they escaped.
A second teen who escaped, 17-year-old Nathaniel Lee Jacks, remains on the loose as of 10 a.m.
Police surrounded John Dewey Elementary School on Emery Road in Warrensville Heights amid their search for the teens. As a result, school officials canceled classes for Tuesday.
Nathaniel is described as 6'1" tall and weighs approximately 165 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, and was last wearing dark blue khaki pants and a T-shirt/sweatshirt. He may be heading to Licking County. He was arrested in January on vandalism charges.
Anybody who encounters the escaped teen is asked to call 911 immediately.
