Police: 26-year-old shot in the head on Cleveland's east side, transported to MetroHealth in critical condition

The incident happened around 7:20 p.m. Sunday evening.

A 26-year-old male has been transported to MetroHealth in Cleveland after being shot in the head on Cleveland's east side. 

According to the Cleveland Division of Police, the incident happened in the 2100 block of East 30th Street around 7:20 p.m.

Officials tell 3News that the man was shot at least once and was immediately transported via Cleveland Emergency Medical Services (EMS). 

Police say that no other information is available to the public at this time and that the matter remains under investigation.
