#3Heroes: Elyria High School teachers create dance video to keep springtime ritual alive

Their halftime dance performance was always a popular part of Pioneer Strong Spirit Week, so this year they took it to YouTube

ELYRIA, Ohio — Teachers at Elyria High School took to the Internet recently to create a replacement version of a popular springtime ritual.

Not wanting to disappoint students who looked forward to the teachers' halftime dance performance during "Pioneer Strong Spirit Week," the teachers brainstormed a way to dance together, even though the school is closed due to COVID-19.

So they created a video of them rocking out in their homes, and posted it to YouTube.

Students loved seeing it, senior Molly Fenik wrote in an email to 3News. "I just want to give them a huge shout out because even in the toughest times, they are always able to make their students smile."
