AKRON, Ohio -- Akron Police are investigating a shooting that left several people injured Wednesday evening.
The shooting occurred outside a home at 850 Sumner Street around 9:40 p.m.
Upon arriving, authorities found four individuals suffering gunshot wounds.
One of the shooting victims, identified as 24-year-old Deontae Henderson, has since died. Police say a 17-year-old, 30-year-old and 23-year-old were also shot. One is listed in critical condition.
Police say investigation reveals that the 17-year-old knocked on the door of the home as two other men stood near the house. Henderson opened the door and after a brief conversation, several shots were fired.
No arrests have been made.
The violence in Akron continued just hours later with two people shot at a BP gas station. Authorities say it does not appear these shootings are related.
