The Akron Police Department and Summit County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating the shooting death of an 18-year-old man.
Akron police officers were called to the 700 block of Bouelvard Street on the city's near west side on Thursday evening, around 10:25 p.m. for shots fired in the area. When police officers arrived on the scene, they found the victim inside a home. The 18-year-old man had suffered a gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:54 p.m. His identity has not been released, pending notification of family members.
Police have not released any information about a potential suspect.
