Showtime! Akron RubberDucks to hold movie-night at Canal Park on Sept. 5

Fans will get a chance to watch "Frozen 2" while staying socially distant

"Frozen 2" movie night at Canal Park

AKRON, Ohio — Coronavirus never bothered the Akron RubberDucks, anyways. 

The minor-league baseball team has partnered up with Stark State College, Union Home Mortgage, and Bober Markey Fedorovich to present a movie night on the field of Canal Park this Saturday. 

Fans can watch "Frozen 2" on the park's jumbo-screen while still staying safe and socially distanced.

The $10 tickets are available now for advance purchase and Canal Park will open to the public at 5:00 p.m. 

Entry for the event is limited to 1,300 guests- roughly 17-percent of the park's capacity. Field seating is limited to no more than 250-persons. 

"Movie Night on the field is one of our favorite family-friendly events we host every year at Canal Park, and we can’t wait for it to be its grand return with Frozen II,” said RubberDucks General Manager Jim Pfander. “We pride ourselves in offering Affordable, Family Fun for all fans here at Canal Park, and Frozen II is the perfect movie for RubberDucks fans of any age. We take safety very seriously at Canal Park so that we can assure all fans at this event will be able to enjoy a safe, socially-distant Movie Night in the heart of Akron.”
