AKRON, Ohio — In addition to two deadly shootings in Akron during the weekend, police are also investigating two separate shootings that left others hurt on Saturday.

Here’s a timeline of the shootings from police…

2:50 a.m. Saturday, July 23

Akron police responded to reports of a fight and were alerted that shots were fired outside the Cliffside Bar in the 2100 block of South Main Street.

Upon their arrival, police say they found a 32-year-old woman with an apparent gunshot wound to the leg.

“According to the victim, she was involved in an argument with another woman and a male in the parking lot,” police noted in a press release Monday morning. “After the altercation, the two subjects got into a car and began to drive off.”

That’s when police say a male suspect fired at least two shots while they were leaving the bar.

No suspects have been arrested.

She was taken to the hospital. Police say her injury is not life-threatening.

7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 23

Police responded to a Circle K in the 900 block of Kenmore Boulevard for a shooting.

Upon their arrival, they found a 21-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds.

“Officers administered emergency first aid, including applying a tourniquet, until EMS arrived,” police said.

The man was taken to an Akron hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. Police say he’s currently listed in serious, but stable condition.

“Based on the initial findings, it appears that the victim was ambushed just as he arrived at the store,” police said. “At least two unknown suspects fled the scene after the shooting.”
