Akron Zoo announces return of "Boo at the Zoo" in 2021

It's a spooktacular event you don't want to miss.

Boo at the Akron Zoo is back! 

The zoo made the announcement on its Facebook page on Tuesday. 

The annual family-friendly event is returning "in all its glory," on Saturdays and Sundays during the last three weekends in October.

  • October 16-17
  • October 23-24
  • October 30-31

The fun will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Doors will open at 10 a.m. for online ticketholders only and no admission into the zoo will be permitted after 6 p.m.

Those attending can bring their own bag or bucket to collect treats from 12 themed treat stations located throughout the zoo.

"Bring your ghosts and goblins in their costumes to the zoo to trick-or-treat at our treat stations throughout the zoo. Purchase your tickets online to save money," the zoo said in a Facebook post. 

Tickets to "Boo at the Akron Zoo" are on sale now at varying prices for members and non-members. 

Online Tickets

  • Treaters: $13
  • Akron Zoo member observers: Free
  • Non-member observers: $10
  • Non-member parking/shuttle fee: $3 per vehicle

Walk-Up Tickets (tickets purchased at the door)

  • Treaters: $15
  • Akron Zoo member observers: $2
  • Non-member observers: $12
  • Non-member parking/shuttle fee: $5 per vehicle
