Akron police asking for the public's help after Chase Bank robbed early Tuesday morning

The suspect is a white man wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt, and is believed to have fled in a red or maroon Ford F-150.

The Akron Police Department is asking the public for information after the Chase Bank on South Arlington Street was robbed Tuesday morning. 

According to officials, the incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. when the suspect entered into the bank and presented a note to the teller demanding money. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount and the suspect fled in a red or maroon Ford F-150.  

Police say the suspect is a white male who is seen on security footage wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.

No other information is available at this time. 

The matter remains under investigation by detectives with the Akron Police Department.
