AKRON, Ohio — Akron fire officials are still on scene of a 2nd alarm building fire on Martin Luther King Blvd.
They say calls for smoke at an apartment building came in shortly before 8 P.M. on Wednesday evening.
Fire officials say flames went through the roof of the vacant building causing crews to go into a defensive attack and fight the fire from the outside.
No injuries are being reported. Officials say the fire is under control at this time. There is no word on what caused the fire.
