The University of Akron Police Department is investigating after a student told them she was nearly abducted just south of campus.
The incident apparently occurred around 2:15 a.m. Friday near Brown and Wheeler Sts. The victim, who made it home safely, said she was approached by two vehicles: a black BMW, possibly with black wheels, a customized exhaust, and some type of blue light visible from the rear of the car; and a black Chevy Impala with black tinted windows.
