MONROE TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- The Ashtabula County Sheriff's Office is investigating a potential murder-suicide that occurred in a home Monday.
Authorities say a relative found 61-year-old Kimberly M. Habian dead inside a Furnace Road home with several stab and gunshot wounds. They also found 60-year-old Elias Santos Guerra, Jr., of North Ridgeville, dead with a single gunshot wound to the mouth.
Investigators believe the couple became acquainted through an online forum and had a confrontation. They believe Guerra stabbed Habian several times before shooting her and then himself.
The incident remains under investigation.
