Police searching for suspect in fatal stabbing at Geneva On The Lake

The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Geneva On The Lake Police are searching for a suspect who is on the run after a fatal stabbing that occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Sunday.

According to police, the incident occurred when two males engaged in an altercation on the sidewalk in the area of 5465 Lake Road East in the Village. After stabbing the other man in the chest, the suspect fled the scene before police arrived. The victim, 29-year-old Christopher Lee Nasca, was transported to the hospital before succumbing to injuries.

CEAAC Task Force and BCI are assisting the Geneva-On-The-Lake Police Department in the investigation. More information is expected to be made available in the future.

In Geneva-On-The-Lake; in the early morning hours of Saturday, 07/11/2020 the following incident occurred. At approximately 2:30AM two males engaged in an altercation on the sidewalk in the area of 5465 Lake Road East in the Village. The altercation turned physical and one of the men was stabbed in the chest with a knife.
