CANTON, Ohio — Authorities have released 911 audio of an incident in which a woman was shot while riding in a car with her husband and two young children over the weekend.

The woman's husband called 911 after pulling into a parking lot following the shooting. You can listen to the audio in the player above.

Police say the shooting happened near Cleveland Avenue NW and 44th Street NW. The 32-year-old victim's husband was driving a 2007 Hyundai Sonata when a bullet passed through the windshield and struck the woman in the shoulder.

The victim was taken to Aultman Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim's husband told dispatch during the call that he has two young children in the back seat. He can later be heard telling the kids, "This is real deal stuff and I appreciate your guys' patience."

Police are looking for a red Dodge Avenger R/T with tinted windows and a spoiler. They're also looking for a dark-colored older model Chevrolet SUV, which was seen in the area of 44th Street NW and Harrison Avenue NW around 11:15 a.m. the day of the shooting.
