CANTON -- Construction has started on Gervasi Vineyard's expansion, meaning the vineyard has announced new details on the project.
Last month, the vineyard announced plans for the expansion, including a new hotel, distillery and bar.
The distillery will be named The Still House at Gervasi Vineyard and the hotel will be called The Casa at Gervasi Vineyard.
The Still House will be a craft cocktail and cigar lounge in the evenings and a coffee shop during the day. The cafe will bear a mission-style church theme and feature Gervasi's own line of locally roasted coffee and specialty coffee drinks.
The Casa at Gervasi Vineyard will house 24 suites under a single-story Tuscan-inspired structure. Amenities will include fireplaces, heated floors and a veranda with access to a courtyard and pond.
The combined hotel and distillery will sit across from The Crush House Wine Bar on the southwest quadrant of the estate.
The vineyard also announced the addition of a "gangster themed" full bar inside The Bistro restaurant, which will offer craft cocktails designed to fit the theme.
Renovations are scheduled to be complete later this year, or in early 2019.
