CANTON, Ohio — Late Monday night, deputies were called to the 5200 block of Sandy Avenue S.E in Pike Township for a report of suspected human remains.
A contractor servicing an oil well discovered the badly decomposed body.
The remains were so badly decomposed that neither the gender nor the age could be determined.
The Stark County Sheriff's Department along with the Stark County Coroner's Office will conduct further investigation to identify the body.
Pike Township is in southern Stark County.
