Third inmate captured after escape from Canton correctional facility; 2 still at large

CANTON, Ohio — U.S. Marshals on Thursday announced the capture of a third suspect who escaped from the Stark County Regional Community Corrections Center 10 days ago.

Michael Fisher, 30, was arrested Thursday morning in the 1300 block of Stark Street SW in Canton. Fisher had been wanted on escape charges, as well as for a burglary he allegedly committed following his escape Feb. 10.

Fisher is the third of five inmates to be captured following the escape. Jaden Miller was captured shortly after the escape and Joshua Bingham was arrested Feb. 14.

Jason Drake and Vincent Blanc remain at large. 

The escape occurred sometime between 8:45 p.m. on the evening of Feb. 10 and 10 a.m. Feb. 11 at the Lesh Road facility, according to a Canton police report.

According to the report, the inmates escaped through a broken first-floor window and fled on foot.
