Cleveland Cinemas offering free bucket of popcorn to visitors who show a valid vaccination card

Popcorn? Check. Ticket? Check. Protection against COVID-19? Check!

In case you needed yet another reason to protect yourself and your community from the coronavirus (COVID-19) and get the vaccine, Cleveland Cinemas is sweetening the deal... literally. 

The local movie-theater company, which owns both Cedar Lee Theatre and Chagrin Cinemas, announced Monday that it will give one free 44 oz. bucket of popcorn to guests who proudly show off their valid vaccination card after they've gotten their shot. 

"Beginning this weekend, get a FREE 44oz POPCORN with any purchase when you show your vaccination card at the theatre through April 30th. (valid at both Cedar Lee Theatre & Chagrin Cinemas)," Cedar Lee's Instagram posted on Monday afternoon.

The theaters are currently showing Academy Award-nominated films, "The Father," "Nomadland," "Minari," and "Mank," but are also offering private screenings to fans who want a custom experience. 

Cleveland Cinemas are currently showing "Cherry" at the moment, as well, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Cleveland natives and the directors of "Avengers: Endgame," and co-written by their sister Angela Russo-Ostot. The movie was filmed in Cleveland in 2019 and stars Tom Holland.
