Witnesses say that Sgt. Houdos was driving northbound on Edwards Avenue in Lakewood when he hit a parked car on the street. Body cam footage from the night of the incident shows officers talking with neighbors who saw the event take place.

In the bodycam footage, Sgt. Houdos tells Lakewood PD officers that he was attempting to drive down the street when a car began to pull out of a driveway too fast, causing him to swerve into a parked vehicle.

The witnesses on the scene told officers that Houdos was lying to them about the facts of the situation and that there were no cars pulling out.

The Cleveland Division of Police says that following Lakewood PD's investigation, they will conduct an administrative review of the incident and Sgt. Houdos' involvement.
