The Cleveland Division of Fire says one person has been rescued and three pets have died following a house fire on Cleveland's east side Tuesday afternoon.

The fire broke out on East 86th St. around noon. Companies from the second battalion (some of whom came from the newly graduated cadet class). Were able to get it under control.

Officials say a neighbor from across the street was able to rescue the human occupant from the home without injuries. Unfortunately, the bodies of two dogs and one cat were recovered inside.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
