Cleveland police: 2 men found shot in Cleveland, 1 dead

One of the shootings was fatal, according to police.

The Cleveland Division of Police is currently investigating two shootings that took place on Tuesday in Cleveland. 

According to officials, officers were dispatched to the 10400 block of Ignatius Avenue Wednesday morning around 7:50 for reports of a male lying on the ground unresponsive. Upon arrival, police found a 33-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds. Police also located two handguns near the body.

EMS pronounced the man deceased upon arrival and members of the Cleveland Division of Police's Homicide Unit were called to the scene.

Officials say that a preliminary investigation found that the shooting happened on Tuesday evening near East 105th Street and Lorain Avenue, and that a 17-year-old was also shot during the incident. 

A 16-year-old suspect is currently in the custody of the Cuyahoga County Division of Children and Family Services, according to officials. 

Police say that the matter remains under investigation.
