CLEVELAND -- Great lakes Brewing company is celebrating its 30th anniversary on Thursday with a special celebration, including free brewery tours and free scoops of Mitchell’s Edmund Fitzgerald chocolate chunk ice cream.
There are also big deals on Dortmunder Gold selling pints for $2.80, the price it was 30 years ago.
What’s next for the brewery? The company purchased eight acres on Scranton Peninsula (near the West Bank of the Flats) for room to expand. They wanted more space so they can start canning beer in addition to bottling beer. They also hope to add a tap room or tasting room that will have amazing views of the Cleveland skyline and the Cuyahoga River.
