4 indicted in the alleged kidnapping, murder of 22-year-old Alishah Pointer

The four suspects are currently charged with kidnapping and aggravated murder.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Editor's note: The video in the player above is from a previously published, related story.

Four people have been indicted in Cuyahoga County in connection to the kidnapping and murder of 22-year-old Cleveland Heights resident Alishah Pointer.

According to court records, Anthony Bryant, Nathaniel Poke Jr,, Brittany Smith, and Portria Williams have all been indicted for kidnapping and aggravated murder, while Williams has also been indicted on one count of having weapons while under a disability.

All four defendants pleaded not guilty in front of Judge William L. Dawson on Monday in East Cleveland, with Dawson issuing a $2 million bond for each of the defendants. Two other suspects, Indya Pauldo and Destiny Henderson, are currently in the custody of the police. Charges against Henderson, who is 17-years-old, will be processed through juvenile court.

East Cleveland Police believe that the individuals mentioned above were part of a scheme to kidnap and murder Pointer, who police believe had knowledge of a homicide committed in Cleveland earlier this month, connected to a relative of suspect Hakeem-Ali Shomo. 22-year-old Pointer's body was found inside of a burned-out home on Savannah Avenue early last week after East Cleveland Police received a tip that there was a body in the basement of the home.

Shomo is still at large at this time and the United States Marshals Service is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to his capture.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Shomo is being asked to call the US Marshals Tipline at 1-866-4-WANTED.  You can also submit a tip online, by clicking here.
