8-year-old in serious condition after being struck by a car in Cleveland, officials say

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating today after an 8-year-old was struck by a car in Cleveland. 

According to Cleveland EMS Commander Chris Chapin, the child was hit near East 55th Street and Kinsman Road sometime in the early afternoon on Thursday. 

The 8-year-old has been transported to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and is currently in serious condition, according to Chapin.
