The body of a woman was found in the backyard of an abandoned home Wednesday afternoon, Cleveland Police confirm.
According to reports, the woman's body, in an advanced state of decomposition, was found by City workers while cleaning and removing debris from the home.
The body was discovered around 2 p.m. in the back yard of a home in the 3200 block of East 132nd Street.
Police say the body showed no obvious signs of trauma and no identification was found in her possession.
Homicide detectives and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner responded to the scene. However, the incident remains under investigation.
