Cleveland breaks ground on city's first downtown public playground

CLEVELAND — Cleveland is breaking ground on the downtown area's first public playground.

The playground, located at the North Coast Harbor behind the Great Lakes Science Center, is a collaboration of the city of Cleveland, Great Lakes Science Center and North Coast Harbor. 

Funded by a private donation, the playground will be approximately 1,575 square feet with two slides and wheelchair accessible features. 

Construction on the playground is scheduled to be complete in mid-November.
