So what can you expect? Here’s what marathon officials are saying:

Runners will start and finish in the shadow of the Fountain of Eternal Life in Memorial Plaza. The course makes its way past Tower City and Public Square, Progressive Field and onto the Hope Memorial Bridge where runners will rise to magnificent views of the Cuyahoga River under the gaze of the Guardians of Traffic statues.

The route continues into the city’s historic Tremont neighborhood where lively crowds line the street and cheer on runners as they pass the iconic Christmas Story House. Runners of the full marathon distance will be treated to incredible views of Cleveland and Lake Erie from Edgewater Park as they race back downtown for the finish. Other highlights include running underneath the world’s largest outdoor chandelier in Playhouse Square, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and much more.
