With high heat and humidity expected, the Cleveland Metro School District has announced 18 of its schools will be closed on Tuesday.
Those schools that have canceled classes for Tuesday include:

Louis Agassiz
Michael R. White
New Tech West
Newton D. Baker
O.H. Perry
Sunbeam
Tremont
Valley View Boys Leadership Academy
Warner Girls Leadership Academy
Whitney Young
Willow
Earlier on Monday, the Elyria School District also announced it has canceled classes for Tuesday, which was supposed to be its first day of the new school year. Several other schools in Northeast Ohio have canceled classes as well.
