New Cleveland Police Academy graduates take oath

Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb administered the oath of office.

CLEVELAND — It’s a big day for the 148th and 149th Cleveland Police Academy classes as they officially reach the next stage in their career.

The graduates took the oath of office, which was administered by Mayor Justin Bibb, during an 11 a.m. ceremony inside Public Hall.

"Know that when your days grow weary, when things get hard, remember that credo: Protect and serve," Mayor Bibb said moments after the graduates were sworn in. "We’re counting on each and every one of you. Congratulations.”
