Cleveland police seek help identifying suspect in Flats hit-skip

Officials say a pedestrian was struck and suffered serious injuries, including a fractured skull.

CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are asking for the public's help identifying the suspect and vehicle involved in an incident that left a man seriously injured early Monday morning in the Flats.

According to officials, the 28-year-old victim was on West 9th Street outside the crosswalk when he was hit by a white pickup truck headed towards Frankfort Avenue around 2:15 a.m. The truck then sped away as the individual laid on the ground.

The victim was taken by ambulance to MetroHealth Medical Center with injuries that included a skull fracture. Authorities have yet to provide any additional information.
