CLEVELAND -- Live Nation's Barry Gabel released a statement Tuesday, cancelling the 2016 Great American Rib Cook-Off and Music festival in Cleveland, usually held Memorial Day weekend. It would have been the 25th annual event.

"After producing the annual Great American Rib Cook-Off and Music Festival in downtown Cleveland for the past 24 years, Live Nation has decided not to produce the event in 2016. We loved producing the annual Rib Cook Off and celebrating the regions passion for BBQ and music,” noted Barry Gabel, Sr. VP of Marketing and Sponsorship for Live Nation.

“The Live Nation Cleveland office will continue to bring the best concert attractions to Northeast Ohio and look forward to producing more regional events in the future.”
