LIVE | Community members, activists call for a stop to gun violence in Cleveland after 6-year-old fatally shot while sleeping at home

The rally is taking place at Cleveland City Hall.

Members of the community are demanding change as the ongoing struggle with gun violence among Cleveland’s youth continues.

The I.C.E.D Foundation, Black on Black Crime Inc. Leaders and local community members and activists are holding a rally, speaking out against youth gun violence.

The most recent incident claimed the life of 6-year-old Lyric Lawson. Lyric was fatally shot while sleeping at her home in the of in the 1300 block of E. 171st Street

“We are demanding that elected city officials and Cleveland residents make the necessary changes to turn our city around and make our streets safe once again,” organizers said in a press release.

The rally is taking place at Cleveland City Hall located at 601 Lakeside Avenue.
