Cuyahoga County Board of Elections hosting 'Special Animal Election' at zoo to recruit poll workers

The event will take place on Monday, July 11, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is holding a "Special Animal Election" at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo to help with their recruiting efforts for poll workers.

The recruiting event will take place at the zoo from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. 

At the event, individuals will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite animal as Cuyahoga County residents receive free admission to the zoo on the day of the event. 

The results of the election will be posted on the Cuyahoga County Board of Election's Facebook and Twitter pages.

The Board of Elections is currently searching for over 4,000 poll workers to assist them on Aug. 2, during Ohio's Primary Election. 

Poll workers will be paid $220 and can make up to $250 based on additional incentives. 

Cuyahoga County residents can apply to be poll workers online at www.443vote.us or by phone at 216-443-3277.
