East Cleveland Police say officers were assisting University Circle Police with the pursuit of a homicide suspect at the time of the accident.

The accident is being investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol to allow transparency, according to East Cleveland Police Captain Scott Gardner.

The OSHP says investigators are still collecting evidence and it is too early to make a determination on who is at fault for the crash.
