Family of woman carjacked, fatally run over with own vehicle speaks out: video

The suspects remain at large.

The family of a woman carjacked and fatally run over with her own vehicle in Cleveland last week issued a public statement, Sunday evening.

The family, gathered at the United Church of Christ to address the individuals responsible for the tragic loss of their mother, daughter, wife and friend.

WKYC was there and streamed the statement via Facebook Live, you can watch below:

33-year-old Lesley DeJesus, was painting inside the Archwood United Church of Christ with her husband and two children when they noticed two men enter their car outside.

When DeJesus and her husband tried to intervene, she was struck by the car. She died at the scene with injuries to her head and body. Her children were not hurt.

The suspects fled the scene and ditched the stolen car near Pearl Road and Denison Avenue.

Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment of suspects involved.
