Front International: Cleveland Triennial for Contemporary Art kicks off this weekend

There's something for everyone, including painting, sculpture, film, photography and performance art.

It took three years to plan, but Cleveland and Northeast Ohio are about to make a serious mark on the art world.

Local foundations, individuals, corporations, the city of Cleveland and the state of Ohio provided funding to make the art exhibition a reality. From now until September 30, the works of 116 artists from 15 countries and 18 cities (including Cleveland) will be on display in Cleveland, Oberlin and Akron.

There’s something for everyone, including painting, sculpture, film, photography and performance art.

While some of the art venues charge admission, many of the works will pop up on and inside buildings such as Cleveland Clinic, The Cleveland Public Library, The Federal Reserve, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Arcade.
