Sights and sounds from the 2020 Greater Cleveland Sports Awards

See behind the scenes of one of Cleveland's biggest nights in sports.

CLEVELAND — Wednesday marks one of Cleveland's biggest nights in sports as the Greater Cleveland Sports Awards honor the area's best athletes, owners and stories.

3News will stream live from behind the scenes at the show starting at 7 p.m.

Athletes and local celebrities are in attendance, and 3News cameras caught up with them.

Daniel "Boobie" Gibson

The former Cavs guard spent his entire NBA career in Cleveland, and is best known for his 31-point performance in Game 6 of the 2007 Eastern Conference Finals.

Mark Price

The legendary Cavs point guard spoke with Nick Camino, including about the time he "ended Larry Bird's career."

Bernie Kosar

The beloved former Browns quarterback has been to this event many times, but it's always special for him.

Stipe Miocic

The UFC Heavyweight Champion is in the building. He is one of the nominees for Athlete of the Year.

Fred McLeod tribute

The ceremony took a moment to honor former Cavaliers play-by-play man Fred McLeod. The Strongsville native passed away suddenly before the start of this season.

T.J. Carrie

Cleveland Browns corner T.J. Carrie spoke with the media and discussed new head coach Kevin Stefanski.

Kevin Stefanski

New Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski addressed the media and said he plans to meet with Odell Beckham Jr. to discuss the receiver's behavior at the College Football Championship game.
