Hotz Cafe has stood on the corner of West 10th and Starkweather in Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood for 100 years. This weekend, they will officially kick off their centennial celebration.
The Saturday at 4 p.m., Hotz will celebrate its 100th birthday with a special event featuring plenty of beer, food, and performances from local artists such as The Lucky Ones, Sandman, and Mike "MADDOG" Kovach. You can learn more about the event here.
Hotz, which opened in 1919, remains family-owned to this day and even survived prohibition as a speakeasy. The likes of Babe Ruth and even Franklin D. Roosevelt are rumored to have set foot inside its hallowed halls.
