One dead, two others injured in shooting on Cleveland's west side

All three victims and the suspect were attending a holiday gathering when an argument began.

CLEVELAND — A man is dead and two others are injured following a fourth of July shooting Saturday. 

Police responded to the 3800 block of West 152 Street just before 10 p.m. for reports of a shooting. 

All three victims and the suspect were attending a holiday gathering when an argument began and the suspect pulled out a gun fatally shooting a 57-year-old man in the chest.

The suspect, 23, then shot a 59-year-old man in the chest and pistol whipped a 57-year-old woman. The man was taken to Metro Health Medical Center where he remains confined and the woman was taken to Fairveiw Hospital where she was treated and released. 

Police obtained a search warrant for the victim's nearby home. Weapons and ammunition were recovered. 

The suspect was arrested after fighting and biting officers.
